Your new role:
We are seeking a results driven and self directed Services Manager to understand customer needs, to know where the industry is going, and to deliver a support product strategy that continues to keep our clients engaged.
The Services Manager will ensure that IT is delivering cost competitive services that have the features the customers need, manage expectations from a customer perspective on product offerings, and serve as the key interface between the customer and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the technical service by assisting technicians to complete complex technical issues, and manage the assignment of services work within project timelines
Team management & leadership of the technical project team, motivating, lifting engagement levels and retaining staff, and modeling a working knowledge of the project elements including timelines, deliverables and budget
IT Management & Product Development including proactive management of technical equipment and software for office tools, minimising downtime
and optimising cost
Prepare technical papers for technical society, conferences, industrial publications and customers, and present to the internal group, weekly on
current business and quarterly updates on business performance
Assist with the preparation of technical findings/solutions and
presentations to clients, and identify additional project opportunities then create quotes for sales review and present to clients
Business, Finance & Administration including management of the Services/Support P&L
Desirable Skills
Ideally you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in IT or engineering
Qualification in business management (advantageous)
Experience with cloud based products
Advanced level of knowledge with MS products
High level of experience in variety of IT products and their application
Experienced in leading a project team and a working knowledge of the project elements including timelines, deliverables and budget
High level of experience dealing with customers through the entire cycle, strong skills in building relationships and aiding retention
Experience managing a team, motivating, lifting engagement levels and retaining staff
Financial experience, able to co-ordinate a number of projects at any one time that are profitable
The ability to work with all people, gaining the most of the relationship
Personal and professional integrity and confidentiality
Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
Ability to achieve outcomes with minimal direct management
